Stampin'Up! One Wild Ride
Hello, I am sharing with you today a very special card made for a friend's who will be celebrating his birthday this weekend.
As usual I left things until the last minute - this week was supposed to be a 'quiet' one. Lots of time for planning and prepping for forthcoming classes and workshops etc but what with signing up a new team member - (welcome Annie!) and running an unplanned Coffee & Card session on Thursday ... need I say any more?
I knew which stamp set I wanted to use - One Wild Ride as the recipient of the card is himself a biker!
I was chatting to a lovely lady called Sue yesterday who came to my extra Coffee & Card session. I gave her a couple of old catalogues to use as a sources of inspiration, so I thought I would do the same too. If you have a look at page 115 of the Annual Catalogue you can see exactly where I got my inspiration from!
I'm not sure how the card above was created but I scrumpled up a piece of card as the first layer. I spritzed lightly with some water to make it easer and then smoothed out and stuck to the card base. I managed to get a couple of small tears but I quite like that! I used some retired cardstock but Very Vanilla would work too.
I also decorated the inside with the fantastic tyre track stamp.
Here is the completed card and envelope - not bad for a card in a hurry!
Next time you need a card in a hurry why not have a look through one of the inspirational Stampin' Up! catalogues yourself?
