Stampin' Up! Eastern Palace - team training swaps!

Hello, you may remember I entered a Team Challenge for March - I designed a little business card holder that included a foil wrapped chocolate shell ...

Well I was very surprised, and pleased to find out that I won!  I have handed out several of these little treats so far to people I come across who want to know what I do. 

I am going to a Stampin' STYlettes team training event tomorrow - I can't wait to meet up with lots of other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.   We will be joined by Joanne James aka The Crafty Owl and some of her team from Northamptonshire.  We have a special guest joining us too - Paula Gorry who is the Stampin'Up! UK Manager! There will be some presentations, some crafting and other fun things too. When a group of SU Demos get together we swap - cards or 3d items as a way of sharing ideas and inspiration.

I decided to share the idea for my business card holder using the Eastern Palace Suite with everyone.  I kept things simple using just two colours; Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist (one of the new In-Colours).

I used a piece of Thick (new product) Very Vanilla cardstock as my base that measured 6cm x 19cm.

After checking the dimensions of my business card, I scored the panel at 8.8cm and 17.6 cm.

Here are all the components prepared and ready to be assembled.

I tried to find some treats that were similar colours but failed ...

I used a mini stapler to hold the flap closed and added a glue dot (you can just about see it) to hold the chocolate in place.

Adding the staple not only allows you to close the little packet it also forces the card to 'bow' so that there is room for a treat as well as a business card (if you want to)!

Unfortunately there were a few chocolates left after I finished - it seemed a shame to waste them!  I am taking my camera and will share photos of the day and all my swaps I receive next week.
