Stampin' U! Swirly Bird quick & simple

Hello, here are the details for the first project this week using a couple of my favourite colours.

We started with a simple water colour wash for our background using two colours and blending in the middle with an Aqua Painter.  Pat ended up with an interesting effect on her card after over wetting the water colour paper.  I have to say it turned out really nice - unfortunately she posted it to her Brother in Law this morning so I can't get a photo :(

In the meantime, here is my simple background

We stamped the boat elements onto watercolour card and cut out leaving a small, even border.  Before sticking to the card front we laid the pieces on the front to ascertain where to stamp the little flag, marking the spot with a pencil.

We then stuck the boat to the front and scuffed the edges.

We dded a sentiment from the set called Weather Together (love this font!) and added a few jewels.

I stamped a boat and some waves (from High Tide) on the inside and the envelope.
