Stampin' Up! Swirly Bird - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of the second project from this week.  After looking at all these boats all week, I could just do with a trip to the seaside ...

For the background on this card we used first and second generation stamping with the splotty dots in this lovely set - they are a strong contender as a replacement for Gorgeous Grunge (maybe/maybe not)!

Two of the little boats were tucked underneath the waves and all three were raised up with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The swirly waves have been cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper - a little bit of sparkle totally transforms the waves and the Glimmer Paper has blues and greens in that coordinate perfectly with the Pool Party splots.  Stampin' Up! are so clever!

We used the same splatter technique underneath the sun.

Look at all the lovely cards that were made at my Tuesday session.  Maggie doesn't like tent fold cards so she turned hers around.  Can you spot it?  (Third from the left)!

I am reliably informed by Mary that the little sail at the top of the mast is known as a 'tell tale' because it shows you the direction that the wind is blowing (or not)!

Here is my completed card and envelope.  It might make another appearance nearer to Christmas in different colours - do you think it would work as a Christmas card - I would love you to leave a comment below!

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee, I will post details of the projects available next week shortly.

You can find the products I used for this project below along with details of how you can receive a free gift from me and Stampin' Up! this month!

I am spending the weekend in Leeds visiting my Mum and getting a much needed hair cut - there just might be a chance for a spot of crafting on Sunday afternoon ...

Have a great weekend!

Susan xx
