Stampin' Up! Quilted Christmas - stepped up

Hello, here are the details for the second project using the Quilted Christmas Suite.

My crafty ladies created lots of lovely variations of this card this week using their choice of DSP.

Here are some of the cards made on Tuesday - one lady (Denise) is quite new to stamping; she did a fantastic job!

There are a couple of tiny stamps in this set that are really useful.  One is obvious - its a little row of cross stitches.  The other I thought was blanket stitch -  I had to google it to find out which way up it went!

I used the Blanket Stitch stamp to edge my sentiment - not bad for my first attempt.  Don't ask why the holly is in the corner ...!  I used a Stampin' Write Marker in Real Red to colour the jewels.

As with the first project this week we used a die to create a stitched element for our focal point.  I am reliably informed by Sue that this pattern in quilting is called 'Ohio'.

The flower in the centre was cut out in two colours - the little red segments have been pieced into the green outline for a quilted effect.

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Although this particular card has a Christmas sentiment it would also make a lovely Birthday card for someone who enjoys sewing/quilting.  A change of DSP and the sentiment is all that would be needed.  I have another project made with this suite that I will share with you at the weekend, here is a sneaky peak, love the colours on this DSP!
