Stampin' Up! Hearts Come Home (my cards, part 2)!

Hello, as promised here are the details of how I finished off my Christmas cards this year.  If you missed my earlier post you can see it here.

If you are in the UK you will no doubt be aware of the depth restrictions for items to be posted :(  With this in mind, I kept the use of Dimensionals to a minimum.

I cut out a frame using two of the Stitched Shape Framelits in Dapper Denim.  (I will have to think of something to do with all the smaller shapes I was left with at some point).

I had lot of die cut elements left over from various projects so I decided I would them for my cards.

I snipped a silver pine bough into two pieces and adhered them to the top left of the frame.

Next I arranged an assortment of die cut trees in Whisper White using Tombow and Dimensionals and placed a tiny silver deer between the trees.

I used my most favourite stamp set - Gorgeous Grunge to create a background.  I heat embossed the images I stamped in Versamark with some silver embossing powder.

As usual I had a slight dilemma when assembling this card - wonky or straight?

I shared the image above on my facebook page and received lots of responses - some liked it straight and some liked it wonky!   In the end I went with the wonky version!!

I used a background image from Pretty Pines to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope.

Here is one of the completed cards and envelopes - each one looked slightly different from the last one.

I was so relieved I managed to get all my cards posted just in time for Christmas.  Next year I will be more organised - well, I will try (again)!

I have received lots of stunning cards from my crafty friends, I will try to take some photos to share with you soon.

I will be taking a few days off from crafting over Christmas and then I will have some fun with all the gorgeous products in the new catalogue and Sale-a-Bration brochure ready to share ideas and inspiration with you in 2018.

Happy Christmas!

Susan xx
