Stampin' Up! Hearts Come Home - quick & simple

Hello, here are the details for our first project this week using the Hearts Come Home bundle.  This is one of my favourite items from the Autumn / Winter Catalogue.

If you purchase both items together as a bundle you get a 10% saving.  The bad news is that the bundle is retiring but, there is still time to get it with the 10% saving if you are quick as part of the Year End Sales Event.  Once it is gone it is gone!  The stamp and edgelits dies will be available in the upcoming 2018 - 2019 Annual Catalogue but without the bundle discount of 10% so, if you want it, best be quick!

If you are like me and always seem to be struggling for time, this quick and simple card is perfect for your Christmas cards this year.  Imagine all the different colours you could use ...

I call this a lazy eclipse card as it is much quicker to make than a normal eclipse card!

Start off by adding a panel of Fresh Fig cardstock 5 mm shorter on each side than your card base.

Cut another panel of Whisper White Thick cardstock 5mm shorter on each side than the coloured panel.

Stamp your chosen sentiment.

After die cutting the church and house from the Whisper White panel, use a single Mini Dimensional behind each tree and the buildings.

Use Tombow on the other parts of the panel making sure you put a small amount on the connecting pieces at the side of each die cut element and press down firmly.

Add a piece of Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon across the front of the panel, sticking on the back with tape. Add another piece to one side tied in a single knot pulled tightly.

I will admit that Fresh Fig is not the first colour that springs to mind for Christmas but my crafty ladies this morning loved it!

You could of course, choose any colour you like - here is another I made using Night of Navy along side the Fresh Fig Version.  I like both and could not possibly choose a favourite - which do you prefer?  I would love you to leave a comment below to let me know!
