Stampin' Up! Bubble Over - stepped up

Hello, finally - here are the details of the second project for this week using Bubbles & Bottles.  There are so many nasty bugs around at the moment and I'm afraid I succumbed this week too so, after a quick trip to the local hospital I am hopefully back on track now!

This particular stamp and framelits set has been very popular this week - it is one of those sets that is suitable for many different people and also lots of occasions.  For me, this bundle is definitely what I call a 'keeper'!

The bold, bright colours in this DSP gave me the inspiration for the colour palette this week.  This coordination is one of the many things that I love about Stampin' Up!

As I was using such bright colours, I decided to create the bottles from vellum as a change from paper and card and, I have to say I think they look great!

The tiny silver bottle tops are a bit fiddly to stick to the vellum but my crafty ladies all agreed it was worth taking a little extra time (and less glue) for the effect they achieve.

Some simple matting and layering with Bermuda Bay and Daffodil Delight created a background for the bottles.

The inside of the card was also decorated with the bubble stamp - it fits perfectly into the corners.

Before adhering the bottles we stamped a cluster of bubbles to look as though they are coming from the open bottle of pop.  The two smaller bottles have been adhered with Tombow and the larger bottle has Stampin' Dimensionals hidden behind the label.

Thank you to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee.  For those of you with the lurgies, I hope you feel better very soon.

When this post is published (if I have pressed all the right buttons, in the right order), I will be on my way to Birmingham with my daughter.  Thank you to everyone for all the kind wishes and prayers - I really appreciate your kindness.

Next week for Coffee & Cards we will be using a stamp set called Petal Pallette.

We used this particular bundle just before Christmas and everyone loved the tiny bird.   Here is a sneaky peak of one of the projects.

At the moment I don't know how long I will need to stay in Birmingham for so, I will post details of craft sessions for next week tomorrow.  Hopefully I will have more idea of how long Rosie will be in hospital for after the operation.  If you would like to join me, please keep an eye on my facebook page for up to date information.

Thanks for looking at my blog today - details of the products I used for this project can be found below.

Happy crafting!

Susan xx
