Stampin' Up! Making Christmas Bright - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of the second project for this week using the Making Christmas Bright bundle.

Whilst crafting this week we have had some lovely chats about the fairy lights we remember from our childhoods - how come no matter how carefully they were put away did they always seem tangled the next Christmas?  And why did they never work until you had tightened all the bulbs at least twice?

The Take Your Pick Tool proved invaluable this week for placing all the tiny silver tops on the bulbs!  Have you got yours yet?

The bulbs were adhered using mini Stampin' Dimensionals and I added a trio of jewels around the lovely sentiment to draw the eye in.

For a change, I added a sentiment to the inside too - I have some special friends in mind to receive this card!

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Every time you make this project it looks different - its all in the squiggle and, of course whether your card is portrait or landscape!  I used a Basic Grey Stampin' Write marker for my squiggle.

I also made a couple of cards with different insides.

The card at the top of the photo uses up left over bulbs and the other one needed the Poppy Parade card to extend the card because I cut it 1cm short!

We were joined today by Arlene who is visiting us all the way from Utah, USA!  Arlene, on the left, very quickly got the hang of stamping and made two lovely cards to take home with her.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee.  Next week we will be using another bundle from the Autumn / Winter Catalogue called Winter Woods.

Hope you have a crafty weekend.
