Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala - quick & simple
Hello, here are the details for our first project this week using a brand new stamp and punch bundle called Butterfly Gala.
The inspiration for this project came from a card I saw on Pinterest that was designed by Charlet Mallett from the USA. You can see the card HERE.
I love stationery - always have so, as soon as I saw Charlet's card I knew I wanted to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit).
I confess that I found this little punch recently when I was tidying my craft room that I have never used (shame on me).
I punched a little tab and as I was still thinking about stationery (I used to order supplies for 5 schools). I grabbed my mini stapler too; I used it to attach the tab to my card stock. I also used some Whisper White Flax Ribbon that is part of the same suite. I shredded some threads from it and coiled around my finger and adhered with a mini glue dot. I stamped and punched one of the small butterflies - I also added a jewel but I don't it was needed!
I used another new stamp from a set called Beauty Abounds to add a decorative edge to a panel of WW card.
A sentiment was added across the base of the panel - I was thinking of clipboards at the time ...
These adhesive backed sequins (also from the Gingham Gala Suite) provided a lovely finishing touch. No faffing about with adhesive, brilliant - I have already ordered another set for myself!
The inside of the card and the envelope have been stamped with this lovely border stamp from another new stamp set called Beauty Abounds.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I made my card using Highland Heather but it would look lovely in all the different colours from the Gingham Gala DSP. I will be making lots of these to use as thank you cards in the New Year.
The most popular colour choice today was also Highland Heather.
