Making Christmas Bright - quick & simple

Here are the details for our first project this week, a little later than usual due to a pesky migraine, using a stamp set called Making Christmas Bright.

For a change, we are using Very Vanilla (VV) as the base for our projects this week.  We used Night of Navy and VV card for some simple matting and layering cutting each piece 5mm smaller.

We used Night of Navy ink to stamp a string of lights across the bottom of the VV card and coloured with the Stampin' Blends.

We then used my favourite Stitched Shape Dies with Night of Navy ink for our sentiment and the pretty wreath stamp.

The die cut circle has dimensionals on the reverse - before adhering to card front we added some loops of Copper Metallic Thread (sadly retired).

The word 'bright' has been stamped onto a scrap of card with Copper Delicata ink and fussy cut out.  We used dimensionals to adhere it underneath the sentiment.

Can you see the blue sparkly dots around the circle?  We used Fine-Tip Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

The glue reactivates the ink so you end up with blue glitter - how cool is that?  Glitter in many colours - love it!

Here is the completed card and envelope.  We also stamped strings of lights across the flap of the envelope and the inside.

On Monday we used the Subtle embossing folder to add some texture the Very Vanilla and Night of Navy layers.

Val also embossed the sentiment circle.  Unfortunately she is not sharing her makes on facebook just in case the recipients of the cards she makes see what she has been making!

My final Coffee & Cards session this week is on Thursday afternoon - you can find the details HERE.  Why not join me to make a version of this project and another one?  Don't forget to let me know you are coming so I can prepare a kit for you!

Hope you have a crafty week.
