Stampin' Up! Moon Baby - quick and simple

Hello, it was such a lovely sunny morning today in Cambridgeshire - I think Spring is springing!  After my Coffee & Cards session I decided to take a stroll down to the river to feed the ducks; its one of my favourite things to do, after crafting of course!

The projects this week came about after another request from one of my regular crafters who asked if we could make baby cards using one of the new additions in the Spring/Summer Catalogue, Moon Baby.

I choose fairly neutral colours for my card but took with me alternative colours for everyone to choose from.

There are a variety of sentiments to choose from in this versatile set and today's project would be suitable for baby showers, a new arrival, a Christening or a birthday.

One lady struggled with cutting out so we improvised and stamped the image in full on the card and then again of a scrap of Whisper White.  This meant that only the umbrella part of the image needed to be cut out and was much easier for her to accomplish.  In this version, the clouds were 'stamped off' first and the babygro was left 'white' with just a little shading in grey pencil to add some definition.

On this version, I cut the baby and the umbrella out and the clouds were stamped at full strength ...

When I got home I had a little spare time so I made a slightly different version using the other image in this set.  I also added a couple of clouds from the Lift Me Up stamp and thinlets bundle.  In the photo below, you can just see the marvelous Wink of Stella twinkling on the moon.

  1. Lovely session again Susan! Thomas (my husband) loved the designs and he is fussy! He also liked the colouring I did on the moon, he thought it looked natural. As usual, I love Stampin Up - another order coming soon Susan x
