Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas for Coffee & Cards

Hello, this week for Coffee & Cards we will be using a bundle called Carols of Christmas.  I confess I have had these stamps and dies sitting in a pile waiting to be used and finally, they are albeit with a bit of help from Christmas Pines!

We will be using colours that might not immediately spring to mind as being Christmassy, but they work for some strange reason!

This week we will be stamping, die cutting and heat embossing.  Here are the projects we will be making.

Stampin' Up! Merry Patterns - stepped up

Hello, here are the details for our second project this week using Merry Patterns.

My card started with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.  I took the colours in these papers as inspiration for both projects this week.  Although a couple of these papers are most definitely Christmassy, some of them will be useful all year around.

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Merry Patterns, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

On the original version of this card the deer was stamped in Soft Suede but after a moment (or two) or my customary indecision, I stamped another jumper in Old Olive.

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Merry Patterns, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

After cutting it out carefully, I adhered it to the deer.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and then heat embossed with white Stampin' Emboss Powder. I made a background for the sentiment with some stamped branches and some gold sequins.

I stamped some of the branches on the inside of the card too.

Here is the competed card and envelope.  The addition of some jewels, coloured with a red Pro Marker added the finishing touch.

Here are a couple of slightly different versions, both using different DSP and the one on the left has had the edges scuffed.

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Workshop - Table Gifts

Hello, just a quick post from me today sharing details of the Workshop Table Gifts from the Colorful Seasons Workshops last week.  Everyone who attended loved these cute little boxes and I promised I would share the details.

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Workshop Treats, Colorful Seasons, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I found a brilliant tutorial on Pinterest by a fellow SU Demo called Heidi Smith, aka Flutterbyheidi.  You can find the tutorial here.

Once I had made the boxes i decorated the outside with some pieces of Painted Harvest DSP - this is a great way to use up all those little scraps we crafters seem to accumulate!

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Workshop Treats, Colorful Seasons, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I used the tiny leaf die that is part of the Seasonal Layers Thinlets, inking the edges with Sponge Daubers.

The sentiment is in the At Home With You stamp set and was just the right size to stamp on the tiny leaf.

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Workshop Treats, Colorful Seasons, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I added some gold metallic thread behind the leaf and popped a little chocolate inside as a treat for my crafty ladies.

Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.

Hope you can join me for some crafty fun soon, I will be releasing details of my November Workshops in the next week or so.

Happy crafting!

Stampin' Up! Merry Patterns quick & simple

Hello, I'm really enjoying using the Merry Patterns stamp set this week - these reindeer's look fabulous in their jumpers!

For this card we used the outline stamp with black Memento and stamped in the detail using Soft Suede then a little bit of fussy cutting (not too difficult) to cut him out.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Merry Patterns, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

Looking at the photo above, I am wondering if I need to add an eye with a black pen ... what do you think?

I designed these cards with male recipients in mind so not too much glitter and sparkle - just  a little underneath the deer so he does not look like he is floating.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Merry Patterns, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I scuffed the edges of the white and black panels - some of my crafty ladies can't bring themselves to make scruffy cards; so they don't!

The sentiment in this set is very clever, its a two step stamp.  The outline is stamped first and the the inside decoration is stamped in Old Olive - very clever indeed.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Merry Patterns, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

Here is the completed card.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Merry Patterns, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

This is another card that would work in so many different colour combinations.

I have two further Coffee & Cards sessions available this week if you would like to join me to make this and another project, you can find the details here.

Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.

Hope you can join me for some crafty fun soon.

Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of the card we made this week using Snowflake Sentiments.

The weather here is lovely in Cambridgeshire at the moment, so sunny and warm for the time of year.  It seems a bit daft making cards with snowflakes on but hey ho, Christmas will soon be here whatever the weather!

Everyone who came to Coffee & Cards this week thought the card very elegant and so versatile as it could be made in lots of different colours.

We used the stunning snowflake border as the focal point of our cards, adding a jewel in the centre of each snowflake.

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Snowflake Sentiments, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I love the sentiment in this stamp set - it looks so Christmassy and it has an apostrophe!!!

We used the snowflake that was cut from the panel above on the tag for the first project this week.  Layering the Whisper White card over the top of Night of Navy adds some extra dimension - us crafters don't like to waste anything do we?

This stamp set also has sentiments that are suitable for the insides of our cards.

Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Craftyduckydoodah!, Snowflake Sentiments, October 2017 Coffee & Cards Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

The three little snowflakes stamped in Night of Navy finish it off nicely.

Here is the completed card and envelope.
