Stampin' Up! Wishing You Well - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of our second project this week using a stamp set called Wishing You Well.

My crafty ladies have gone mad for the lovely ribbon image in this stamp set.  It looks so pretty, especially with Wink of Stella on top!

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, September 2018 C & C Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

We used the same stamping technique for the flowers that we did for the quick & simple project this week - it is simple but very effective.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, September 2018 C & C Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

We used two embossing folders this week; Subtle (Crushed Curry) and Tufted (Blackberry Bliss).

The stamped image was adhered to the Crushed Curry layer, slightly offset.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, September 2018 C & C Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

The sentiment is from a stamp set I am ashamed to say I have not used (yet) called At Home With You.  A trio of jewels and the card is finished.

I stamped the inside and the envelope to coordinate.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, September 2018 C & C Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, September 2018 C & C Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

A couple of the crafty ladies from today decided they wanted to stamp these beautiful bows in Rich Razzleberry.  They confessed they were a little disappointed with the colour until I showed them what a little Wink Of Stella does!

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018 C & C Project, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Wishing You Well,

I'm not sure of the reason why but it seems to react with the ink as well as adding a touch of sparkle.  The bow at the top of the picture is more pink in colour once the Wink of Stella has been used.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for some crafty 'me time'.  Next week I have a special request from Louise who is one of my team of ducklings.  She will be unable to join us for several weeks and she has asked if we can make some Christmas cards using a stamp set called Merry Christmas To All.  I will post details of the projects shortly.

Hope you have a crafty weekend.

Stampin' Up! Wishing You Well - quick & simple

Hello, here are the details for our first project this week using a stamp set called Wishing You Well.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, September 2018 C & C Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

But first, I have news for you!  The Clearance Rack was updated earlier today - lots of lovely bargains - inks, DSP, ribbons, embellishments and lots more.  Be warned, they will sell out quickly!  Who doesn't love a bargain?  Have a look and see what is available here.

Now back to the first project for this week.  I am really enjoying the colours we are using this week - just right for this time of the year!
If you have crafted with me or follow my blog, you will know that I love to use Whisper White card stock.  I also love to leave 'white' space - this project is very 'me'.

I cut a piece of card stock 5mm smaller than the card base.  We stamped the lovely bouquet in Mossy Meadow in the right hand corner.

Using Blackberry Bliss, I added the first of the flowers using full strength ink.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, September 2018 C & C Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

Top Tip
After stamping the first cluster of flowers, turn the image upside down before stamping again without re inking.  This add depth a dimension to the stamped flowers.

After cleaning the stamp, I then stamped the flowers again using Crushed Curry ink.

A simple sentiment - stamped onto a 1cm wide strip of card has been adhered with Mini Dimensionals across the full width of the card.  A scattering of jewels completes the card.

Here is the completed card and envelope - the envelope and the inside of the card have been stamped to coordinate.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, September 2018 C & C Project, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I love this card - lots of white space, clean and simple and, quick to make!

Here is another version in different colours ...

Stampin' Up! Wishing You Well for Coffee & Cards

Hello, I had so much fun hopping for Stampers by the Dozen at the weekend with a stamp set called Wishing You Well that I decided to use it this week for Coffee & Cards too!

The colours we are using this week are ones that I have not used for a while but they seem to fit with the time of the year quite well.

The inspiration for the project on the left came from the Autumn / Winter catalogue.

This week we will be stamping and embossing - here are the projects for next week.  I do seem to like 'white space' on my cards don't I?  Both projects have matching envelopes.

Stampin' Up! Stampers by the Dozen 09/18

Hello, I am hopping again today with the lovely ladies from Stampers by the Dozen.  If you have joined me from Judy or if you are starting with me, welcome - I hope you find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us.

Our theme this months is Fall Florals (or Autumn if you are in the UK like me) and was chosen by Deb Naylor.

I decided to use a new stamp set from the Autumn / Winter Catalogue called Wishing You Well.

Craftyduckydoodah!, SBTD Blog Hop, Wishing You Well, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

The images in this set are so elegant - the gorgeous bow and the wreath will be so useful for dare I say, Christmas?  Sorry!!

I decided to use a couple of colours for my project that I have not used for ages.

I coloured the image with Stampin' Write Markers - not used these for ages either for some reason (might be my love of Stampin' Blends)!

I used the Stamparatus for this image.  This enabled me to colour the stems and the leaves and stamp first, then clean the stamp and colour and stamp the flowers.

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

The reason I bought this particular stamp set is the bow - the two tone stamped image looks amazing.  I stamped the bow on some scrap card and carefully cut it out.  I added some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle too.

Top Tip
The Wink of Stella will react with the ink.  Try not to go over the image too many times or you will blur the image.

This is a quick and simple card that would look lovely in lots of colours.  The inside and the envelope have been stamped to coordinate.

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

I had so much fun with the first card that I decided to make another one!

Here is a sneaky peek of a project we will be making next week for Coffee & Cards!

Craftyduckydoodah!, SBTD Blog Hop, Stampin' Up! UK Independent Demonstrator Susan Simpson, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Wishing You Well,

I really enjoyed using this stamp set and it would be very easy to make a set of note cards as a lovely gift.

Thanks for hopping along with us again, next up is Tricia who I am sure has something wonderful to share with you.  Don't forget to leave a comment below (we like that).

Details of the products I used for this project can be found at the end of this post.

Come back soon to see what else I have been doing with this lovely stamp set!

Happy crafting.

Stampin' Up! - Holiday Catalogue Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another Stamp 'N Hop!  If you have joined me from Danielle or are starting here, welcome - I hope you find lots of inspiration.

This month our brief is to use anything for the 2018 Autumn / Winter Catalogue.

I found myself very short on time recently and I seriously thought about missing this hop.  Then I thought to myself that everyone is short on time especially in the run up to Christmas and, what would I tell one of my customers to do if they needed some cards in a hurry?  A project kit that's what!

These elegant cards take just minutes to stamp and assemble and there are the most gorgeous gold foiled envelopes in this kit too.

I love the colours in this kit - so Christmassy!

To complete the kit you will need the following items:

  • Adhesive - I used Tombow and Dimensionals.
  • Jet Black Stazon Ink
  • Timeless Tidings stamps
There are some lovely images (I have plans for the tiny tree) in this set and the sentiments are just right - I'm not a fan of 'mushy' sentiments!

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

Each kit comes with instructions.

Top Tip
Read the instructions!

I like to sort out all the elements for each card first.

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

Top Tip

When you pop out the die cut elements they sometimes have tiny 'pips' where they were connected to the larger sheet.  Run your finger nail over the 'pip' to remove.  Alternatively you can carefully snip them off.

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

Now you can have fun assembling your cards.

Did I mention that it is a good idea to read the instructions?

Three of the cards have guidelines printed on them; this is to show where to adhere the foiled border strips.

The borders should be placed on the line not above (I should have read the instructions)!!

Now I had an couple of issues with the foiled elements in this kit.  They are lovely; so intricate.  I attempted to pop out the tiny die cut pieces with my poky tool but of course they are also sticky and I ended up in a bit of a mess.

Top Tip

As you slowly lift each sticker, use your poky tool to prod each tiny piece so that it remains stuck on the sheet.  Much, much easier this way!

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

I might even find a use for those tiny pieces left behind ...

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

Once I had figured this out I finished the cards in no time at all.  The kit also includes green and champagne coloured jewels!

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

This particular card is my favourite.

Did I mention the envelopes?  I initially thought that they were just foiled in gold but no, Stampin' Up! have done it again!

Have a look at the insides - love this a lot, I did not notice them on the photo in the catalogue at all!

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

I was really pleased with the finished cards.  I will be ordering a few further kits as these cards will be perfect for the ladies I craft with each week in a local care home.

Craftyduckydoodah!, September 2018. Timeless Tidings Project Kit, Stamp 'N Hop, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator,

If you are like me and short on time, I would definitely recommend that you give one of the project kits a go - they are a great way to make a speedy stack of cards just make sure you read the instructions!

Don't forget to leave a comment below - I love to read what you think of my projects.  Details of the items I used for this project can be found below.

Next up is Pia who I am sure has something lovely to share with you.

Happy crafting and thanks for hopping along with us!
