Snowman Season for Coffee & Cards

Hello this week we will be using items from the Let It Snow Suite to create our projects.  I somehow managed to misplace (loose) the Winter Knit embossing folder so this is the first time I have used it.

Chirstmas 2019, Craftyduckydoodah!, Let It Snow, Snowman Season Bundle, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I choose the colours for this weeks projects from the Designer Series paper.

This week we will be making a gift card holder and a card that can also double up as a gift card holder.  The inside of the card has two clever little boxes to hold the gift card card.  You don't have to add the gift card holder to the inside - you can just make the card, the choice is yours.  You can also choose whether to use Flirty Flamingo or Real Red as the background to the little gift card holder.  I chose Flirty Flamingo because I thought it looked more 'girly'!

I have several people on my gift list that I send gift cards to and I am always looking for fun ways to present the gift cards.

This week we will be stamping, punching, embossing and colouring with the Stampin' Blends.

Here are the projects we will be making.

Sip Sip Hooray - stepped up

Here are the details for our final project this week using Sip Sip Hooray.

We started with a panel of thick WW cut 5 mm smaller than the card base. We used the long edge die that is included in this bundle to create a bubbly border.

Top Tip
I always run very detailed dies through the Big Shot twice to ensure that all the bits are cut.

We then adhered a piece of So Saffron card to the reverse with tiny dabs of Tombow.

We used my favourite Stitched Shape dies and stamped a sentiment in Gold Delicata ink.  We also added lots of sparkly bubbles.

Christmas 2019, Craftyduckydoodah!, Sip Sip Hooray, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

The sentiment has been adhered to a So Saffron scalloped circle with Tombow and then adhered to the card with dimensionals.

We stamped two champagne glasses using Gray Granite ink and cut them out with the coordinating die.  We stamped the champagne using So Saffron ink and overstamped lots of bubbles using Gold Delicata ink.

The glass on the left has been adhered with dimensionals and the glass on the right has a double layer of dimensionals.

We also stamped on the inside of the card and the envelope too.

Martini anyone?

Or perhaps you prefer red?  This card would be suitable for a man I think don't you?

Thanks to everyone who joined me for a cheeky cocktail this week!  Next week one of our projects will be a gift card holder - so useful at this time of year!

I'm in Leeds this weekend, hair cut, dentist and hopefully a visit to my son if he isn't working.

Have a great weekend.

Sip Sip Hooray - quick & simple

Here are the details for our first project this week using Sip Sip Hooray.  This stamp set is so much fun - I'm loving all the different little additions and the variety of tipples you can create.  The only limitation is my lack of knowledge as I am not that much of a drinker.

We used my favourite Stitched Shape dies to cut two rectangles from black and WW card.  This fantastic sentiment has been stamped onto the WW panel using Gold Delicata ink. Unfortunately, given the time of year, is proving difficult to photograph the sparkly loveliness of this ink.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Sip Sip Hooray, Christmas 2019, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

Both panels have been adhered to the note card with Tombow.

Now for the fun part - creating the cocktails!

The glass has been stamped using Gray Granite ink.  (I found using black too harsh and Smoky Slate ink was not the right colour either).

I used Grapefruit Grove ink for my cocktail.  I used the Shimmer Crystal Effects on top of the ink and covered with the gorgeous Ice Stampin' Glitter.  The effect reminds me of sherbet crystals that I used to buy as a child.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Sip Sip Hooray, Christmas 2019, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

A sprig of rosemary, Mossy Meadow ink on Pear Pizzazz card and an orange slice, Grapefruit Grove ink and card finished off my little tipple.

We also stamped a glass on the inside of the card.

Both panels have been adhered to the note card with Tombow.

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Sip Sip Hooray, Christmas 2019, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

This is a really useful card suitable for lots of different occasions and great for all year round too.

Here is a close up of an alternative card - perhaps a Martini, that I made on Monday.

Both panels have been adhered to the note card with Tombow.

My final Coffee & Cards session this week is on Thursday afternoon - you can find the details HERE.  Why not join me to make a version of this project and another one?  Don't forget to let me know you are coming so I can prepare a kit for you!  We had a brilliant mix of drinks on Monday, red, white and rose wine, champagne and a variety of cocktails too.  If there is a particular tipple you would like to create just let me know and I will bring the colours you need.

Bottoms up, cheers, slainte, prost, proost, sante, salute, et al!

Making Christmas Bright - stepped up

Hello, here are the details for our final project this week using a stamp set called Making Christmas Bright.

We used Night of Navy ink to stamp a wreath in the bottom corner of a panel of Very Vanilla (VV) card cut 5mm smaller than the Night of Navy card base.

We then used the string of lights image to 'connect' the wreath to each side of the card.  The lights have been coloured with Stampin' Blends.

We stamped and punched out a light bulb using Night of Navy ink on a scrap of VV card.  The top part of the bulb, the filament? has been punched from Copper Foil and adhered with a dab of Tombow.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Making Christmas Bright, Ornament Punch, Christmas 2019, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store

To stamp the copper highlights around the bulb first lay your bulb in the position you want it.  Using Delicata Copper stamp the halo and then add a dimensional to the back of the bulb and adhere.

We then adhered a strip of the stunning copper accented Designer Series Paper to the edge of the panel using Tombow.

The completed panel has been adhered to the card base with lots of dimensionals.

We used Fine-Tip Glue and Dazzling Diamonds glitter and also coloured some jewels with the Stampin' Blends as finishing, sparkly touches.

We added some stamping to the inside of the card, colouring the lights with the Stampin' Blends and stamping some tiny stars with Copper Delicata ink.

Next week we will be using a stamp set called Sip Sip Hooray.  I have a busy weekend; I am going on a gin tour - this might just have influenced my choice of stamp sets for next week!

Have a good weekend.

Making Christmas Bright - quick & simple

Here are the details for our first project this week, a little later than usual due to a pesky migraine, using a stamp set called Making Christmas Bright.

For a change, we are using Very Vanilla (VV) as the base for our projects this week.  We used Night of Navy and VV card for some simple matting and layering cutting each piece 5mm smaller.

We used Night of Navy ink to stamp a string of lights across the bottom of the VV card and coloured with the Stampin' Blends.

We then used my favourite Stitched Shape Dies with Night of Navy ink for our sentiment and the pretty wreath stamp.

Christmas 2019, Craftyduckydoodah!, Making Christmas Bright, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

The die cut circle has dimensionals on the reverse - before adhering to card front we added some loops of Copper Metallic Thread (sadly retired).

The word 'bright' has been stamped onto a scrap of card with Copper Delicata ink and fussy cut out.  We used dimensionals to adhere it underneath the sentiment.

Can you see the blue sparkly dots around the circle?  We used Fine-Tip Glue and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

The glue reactivates the ink so you end up with blue glitter - how cool is that?  Glitter in many colours - love it!

Here is the completed card and envelope.  We also stamped strings of lights across the flap of the envelope and the inside.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Making Christmas Bright, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Christmas 2019, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

On Monday we used the Subtle embossing folder to add some texture the Very Vanilla and Night of Navy layers.

Val also embossed the sentiment circle.  Unfortunately she is not sharing her makes on facebook just in case the recipients of the cards she makes see what she has been making!

My final Coffee & Cards session this week is on Thursday afternoon - you can find the details HERE.  Why not join me to make a version of this project and another one?  Don't forget to let me know you are coming so I can prepare a kit for you!

Hope you have a crafty week.
