A very special card for Amy's Daddy!
Hello, I am sharing a card today that is not totally made with Stampin' Up! stamps! Shock, horror - I know!! I had a phone call from the daughter of my friend yesterday asking if she could come round and make a card for her Daddy as he is unwell at the moment.
Of course I said YES! I went to pick her up, it was a lovely sunny afternoon. Amy loves to push the button that takes the roof off my car .... and put some music on (loud)!
Amy's Daddy loves to play golf and she wanted to make a card connected with golf somehow. Unfortunately I don't have any SU stamps (yet) that fit the bill BUT I did find a set of stamps I haven't used for many years that Amy liked. The fact that I found them fairly easily is a miracle - Amy will tell you that my craft room is in a bit of a mess at the moment (I have been playing with all my pre order goodies that arrived last week)!
After deciding that we would use some DSP from Go Wild we got to work.
Amy stamped the image in Black Memento ink and then used my Pro Markers to colour in with - there was even time for a quick lesson in shadow and shading!
Here is the image she coloured in:
Stampin' Up! notecards and envelopes are really useful when you need a card in a hurry. We used an image from Sheltering Tree to create the grass and the clouds are an image from Work of Art. Amy chose all the colours herself - didn't she do well?
Here is the completed card and matching envelope:
Amy also decided to decorate the back of the envelope:
We punched out some of the golf balls with the 1" circle punch which was just the right size. The golf ball in the middle is stuck on with a Stampin' Dimensional - not only does it look nice but it also seals the envelope!
Amy did an amazing job (I knew she would, her Mum is an accomplished crafter) and we both had a lovely afternoon.
I will be posting details shortly of a special crafty workshop for Father's Day - no adults allowed!!
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would love to be yours! If you don't have a catalogue and you would like one, please let me know and I will send one to you.
I haven't listed details of the products I used to create this project today but if you would like to know which colours I used etc, please message me.
If you need to order any supplies, simply use my “shop with me” button or click on the catalogue links on the right. Alternatively, contact me and I would be happy to place your order for you.
All orders over £20 (excluding postage) will receive a little thank you from me if you use the current Hostess Code: GN9SRT2Q (please remember to allow me to access your contact details otherwise I won't be able to contact you).
For orders over £150 please do not use the Hostess Code to ensure that you receive the benefits.
I hope that Amy's Daddy liked his surprise card and that he gets better very soon.
