Had-Penned Suite Stampers Showcase
Hello and welcome to another Stampers Showcase Blog Hop! Have you spotted the mistake on my post title? I will actually be using a stamp set called Hand-Penned Petals for my project - I'm having trouble with the b's and n's on my laptop!
If you have hopped over from Leonie Stuart or are starting here with me at Craftyducky HQ, welcome - we have some fabulous projects to share today using brand new items from the upcoming 2021 - 2022 Annual Catalogue.
Right at the top of my pre-order wish list was a brand new suite of products called the Hand-Penned Suite. I'm a huge fan of two step/distinktive stamping and love the colours showcased in this suite of products.
The delicate line art floral images and the sentiments are so pretty and, well I just love a handwritten font, if there is a mix of fonts on a sentiment then that is even better!
Here is my project:
I love giving gifts and even more so if I can do so in a pretty box don't you?
The colours I used:
You will need:
Basic White Thick (BWT) and Fresh Freesia cardstock for stamping and die cutting.
The stamping and 'colouring':
I used Memento ink to stamp the flowers onto a piece of BWT card and cut out with the coordinating die. I used the two step stamps in this bundle and the inks listed above to 'fill in' the image. I love the effect you can achieve with the distinktive stamps.
The diecutting:
You will need to cut a scalloped circle from Fresh Freesia and a slightly smaller circle from BWT.
To assemble:
This Kraft coloured treat box is covered in tiny little gold foil dots - it comes in two pre-cut pieces that have been pre-scored to make assembling a breeze.
The scalloped edge to the lid is so pretty and, even better, no adhesive required!
I wrapped a length of Fresh Fressia ribbon around the box and adhered with a mini glue dot.
Top tip #1:
Make sure the ribbon is not too tight otherwise the lucky recipient won't be able to slip it off the box to see what's inside!
Adhere the BWT circle to the Fresh Freesia one using dimensionals. I also adhered the flowers with dimensionals.
Top tip #2:
Position a line of dimensionals along the ribbon and attach the flowered panel. Using dimensionals in this way allows the ribbon and the topper to slide of the box without causing any damage.
The sentiment:
I used Evening Evergreen to stamp this tiny sentiment which is from a stamp set called Free as a Bird. I also used a die from the Tasteful Labels die set. Trim slightly if necessary and slip under the die cut flowers adhering with a dab of Tombow.
The completed project:
I love this little box, I will be filling it with goodies to give to one lucky lady that attended my online workshop yesterday as a thank you for sharing her projects over on my Craftyducky facebook page Share it Sunday post. I do like to see what all my crafty friends have been up to each week!
I have a spare die cut floral piece, I always hedge my bets and make more than I need for my projects so I will be back soon with a card to coordinate with the box.
Next up is Wendy Lee who has another project to share using fabulous new goodies!
Thanks for hopping along with us. The new items I used for my project will be available from the 3rd of May so not too long to wait now!
Susan xx
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today. Unfortunately I am no longer a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. SU regulations are very strict; I have to wait 3 whole months before I can rejoin again.
If you would like a copy of either of the current Annual Catalogue or the current Mini Catalogue let me know and I will arrange for one to be popped in the post for you. The new Annual Catalogue will also be available soon, let me know if you would like my friend to send you a copy.
Other products used for my project will be available from the 3rd of May so not too long to wait!
