Stampin' Up! Moon Baby - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of the second project from this week.  One of my lucky ladies is eagerly awaiting the arrival of two new additions to her family this year so she was rather pleased with the theme this week!

I have to admit, there were some wonderful variations of the cards made by everyone - different moons and lots of coloured outfits and umbrellas!  One lady had what I call a 'happy accident', she over used the blender pen - the shimmery card stock 'piled' but the result was some fantastic texture on her moon.  Not something I would usually recommend but it really did look like there were craters on the moon! On the photo below you can see how a grey water colour pencil has been used to add some soft shadows ...

The  moon looks very different when it is in yellow - I added some Wink of Stella in clear for a sparkly finish too.

Sarah went 'off piste' on the inside of her card - why did I not think of doing this?  I love it!

I even remembered to take my camera with me today - here are some of the fabulous cards that were made.

I pre stamped and cut out some tiny clouds - always useful to cover a splodge! The card on the back row (in the middle) is waiting for the addition of a blue balloon with the number one on it for a special Grandson who has a birthday very soon!

Here is the completed card and envelope.

Next week we will be using a bundle called Window Shopping - here is a sneaky peak of one of the projects.  After I took the photo I realised that the yellow card had slipped a little but I will fix that!

Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon!

Susan xx
