Stampin' Up! Casing The Annual Catalogue - Stamp 'N Hop 11/18

Hello and welcome to the latest Stamp 'N Hop Blog Hop.  We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world who get together each month to share our love of all things Stampin' Up!

If you have joined me from Pia or are starting here with me, welcome - I hope you find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us.

This month our challenge is to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) with a project from the Annual Catalogue.

I think this has been one of the toughest challenges yet as there are so many stamp sets that I love.

However, I decided to revisit a stamp set that I used recently for one of my Coffee & Cards sessions - Mistletoe Season.  It can be found on page 95 of the Annual Catalogue.

There are many lovely examples of projects you can make with this set but I was drawn to the one at the bottom of the photo.

The colours for the project are taken from the Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.

At first glance of the stamps I thought there was something wrong with the mistletoe images as there were parts of the stems missing.

However, closer inspection revealed that Stampin' Up! had done it again - there was a purpose for those gaps!

The centre of the bow fits perfectly in the gap.

Talking of the bow, I used Night of Navy ink.  The outline was stamped at full strength and then for the infill, I stamped off onto a piece of scrap paper first.

I stamped the tiny clusters of berries around the mistletoe but then I decided to add some of the red rhinestones on top for a bit of sparkle.

After adhering the DSP to the front of the card I assembled the stamped panel with Dimensionals.

I'm not a fan of fussy sentiments so the simple Joy & Love in this lovely font was perfect (for me at least).  I used the Banner Triple Punch for the sentiment and again layered with Dimensionals.

As usual, I stamped on the inside of the card and the envelope.

If you are ever lost for inspiration, or you need a card in a hurry, I strongly recommend that you take a closer look at the projects in the catalogue.  There are so many great projects inside that you are bound to find something inspirational.

Next up is the lovely Karen.  I met Karen last year at a Stampin' Up! event called OnStage and we have been good friends ever since.  I know she will have something special to share with you (click the arrow below to hop over).

Happy hopping - don't forget to leave a comment to let me know what you think of my project!

Susan xx
