Stampin' Up! - What I Love
Hello, I was challenged by a crafty friend recently to use some of the Stampin' Up! ink colours that I had either never or rarely used. I saw, to my amazement that I actually had one ink pad that was still completely unused - Perfect Plum! I also realised that I had never used the cardstock in this particular colour either.
As we are now in the final few days of Sale-A-Bration I decided to use one of the sets I had earned for FREE - What I Love. I certainly love the three step stamps in this particular set - I love the effects you can achieve so easily!!
I used a 'stamping off' technique to achieve different shades of Perfect Plum and one of the flower stamps to create my background. I added some splatters from my almost most favourite stamp set - Timeless Textures in both Perfect Plum and Pool Party for a bit of contrast.
I used the same idea to add interest to the insert of my cards:
Here is the finished card - what do you think? I added some of the brilliant metallic glitter tape, is it too much?
I decided to make another version of this card; this time without the metallic glitter tape:
It is basically the same card but I did stamp a slightly larger background to balance things out a little bit.
Some of you will perhaps know that I am a Libran and can be rather indecisive at times! Could you help me decide which version is best by leaving a comment below please?
Here are both cards with their matching envelopes so that you can compare them side by side:
The stamp set I used and the metallic glitter tape are still available as part of Sale-A-Bration BUT only until March 31st. Please don't miss out on the chance to earn a FREE product with every £45 spend!!
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would love to be yours! If you don't have a catalogue and you would like one, please let me know and I will send one to you.
Details of the products I used to create these cards can be found below. If you need to order any supplies, simply use my “shop with me” button or click on the catalogue links on the right. Alternatively, contact me and I would be happy to place your order for you.
All orders over £20 (excluding postage) will receive a little thank you from me if you use the current Hostess Code: JY2VTRCD (please remember to allow me to access your contact details otherwise I won't be able to contact you).
For orders over £150 please do not use the Hostess Code to ensure that you receive the benefits.
