Stampin' Up! Sprinkles of Life for a special birthday!
Hello, my very good friend Donna is celebrting a rather special birthday this week - I have promised (on pain of death) not to reveal which birthday she is celebrating but it is a big one!
I became friends with Donna when she kindly agreed that I could use her fantastic coffee shop (The Grand Piano in Godmanchester) as a venue for my Coffee & Card sessions last year.
I thought I would make a slightly different version of something I made last October for my Mum with the Envelope Punch Board. You can see the original post here.
As I had already made a gift bag using the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit (again) - love the style of this one, (especially the bunting!) I decided to stick with the same colours of ink and use Kraft and Whisper White cardstock.
Instead of using DSP as I did on the original box card, I stamped the side panels so that they would coordinate with the gift bag using white Craft Stampin' Ink. I even stamped my inner segments too - think I might have got a bit carried away but I do think it looks nice!
I stamped a panel for the back so that I could write a personal message:
Here is the completed card and the matching bag - what do you think; do they look like they are coordinated? I would love you to leave a comment below to let me know what you think ...
Looking at the photo below I think perhaps I should have added some gold somewhere on the card but it is too late now!
I did intend to add a little bird to one of the trees but Donna is rather superstitious and does not like any birds in her house at all. I'm sure that Donna's day will stack up to be one good thing on top of another - she has three lovely sons who I am sure will be spoiling her her with lots of surprises!
Details of the products I used to create this project can be found below.
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would love to be yours! If you don't have a catalogue and you would like one, please let me know and I will send one to you.
