Stampin' Up! Review of 2017 Part III

Hello, I'm back again with part III of my review of 2017.  I have set this post to publish on Boxing Day (26th December).  I will be having a relaxed day - no facebook, blog or anything computer based!  I have a book I need to finish for my reading group and today is the day I will finish it.  There might be coffee and chocolate involved at some point(s) too!

July

This was a tricky month for me to decide which projects to showcase.  The D's definitely won this month!

Daisy Delight was a very popular bundle - the punch made short work of creating these stunning flowers.  Two of my crafty ladies asked me to do a special workshop with this bundle - this is what we made.  The abundant supply of Rosemary growing in my garden made a very fragrant addition to one of the projects!

Dragonfly Dreams - this is one of my most favourite projects of 2017; the colours, the little bit of sparkle and the dragonfly (of course) are right up my street!!

During July I entered the first of two online challenges for 'The Joy of Sets' - it was a good way for me to step out out my comfort zone.  The challenge letters were F and S - can you guess which stamp sets I used?

August

Painted Harvest is one of my favourites - I used it for my customer thank you cards in August in a non traditional colour scheme.  My crafty ladies absolutely loved it!  Painted Harvest turned up for C & C sessions, a Workshop and as a card for a special friend celebrating her 65th birthday too.

During August I took part in my very first blog hop which was something I had been wanting to do for ages!

Stampers by the Dozen (SBTD) are a group of 12 SU Demonstrators around the world who got together to take part in a monthly hop.

I chose to use Painted Harvest for my project - lots of fussy cutting (worth it) and a change from my usual clean and simple style with something in a shabby style.

September

September saw me publishing a record 25 blog posts!

It must have been something to do with the time of the year as I also got rather carried away with a bundle called Colorful Seasons.

It started with a couple of projects for C & C sessions ...

Then me having an inky play session just for fun with some shiny cardstock ...

Then I needed a project for my second SBTD blog hop ...

I really, really like this card - especially the leave cut from the copper foil!  You can find a tutorial showing more details here.

Then, because I had got rather carried away making lots of leaves I made this (for me) ...

Then my crafty ladies liked this project so much I offered a Workshop making the wreaths, my SBTD project and the card I made as my customer thank you card for September!
