Stampin' Up! Favourite Designer Series Paper for Stamp N Hop
Hello and welcome to another Stamp N Hop blog hop! We are a group of Demonstrators from around the World who love to share all things Stampin' Up!
If you have hopped over from Jacqui or are starting the hop here with me, welcome and thank you for hopping along with us - I hope you find lots of inspiration.
This month we were asked to choose our favourite Designer Series Paper (DSP). Well, this was a real tough decision for me - I have several favourites in the new Catalogue.
However, a decision had to be made so I chose Tropical Escape. These stunning papers certainly put me in the mood to travel to far flung places, I love the colours and patterns in these papers.
I have been using the Tropical Chic bundle all week for classes. One of my crafty ladies earlier this week asked if I could show her how to make a different fold for a card. She described something she had seen to me but did not know what is was called. I had no idea either, hopefully this is what she meant - it took me ages to figure out the various measurements!
This is my favourite piece of DSP in the whole pack. I really like the layered leaves and the mix of colours.
This Granny Apple Green cardstock layered with Blushing Bride is a new favourite combo of mine.
I stamped and cut out lots of different leaves and then I decided to use my all time favourite dies; Stitched Shape Framelits to create a panel for my sentiment. I like the mix of different fonts on this lovely sentiment from Perennial Birthday.
I spent ages arranging and then rearranging my flowers and leaves but something was missing. Of course the answer was obvious really!
A Fabulous Flamingo - stamped using the Stamparatus and carefully fussy cut out!
I used a Sponge Dauber and some Melon Mambo ink to add extra colour to the centre of the flowers and added a large jewel to each flower with some Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.
Here is the finished card shown closed.
This is what the card looks like from the side - lots of lovely dimension.
I also stamped an envelope and an insert to match.
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I have really enjoyed using this DSP and the stamps all week - I love the tropical-ness (is that a word?) and the colours are not ones I would normally go for which makes a nice change. I can see uses for every single pattern/sheet of DSP which makes it excellent value for money especially as it is available as part of the Select DSP Sale, buy three, get one free.
I took the liberty of ordering an extra pack of Tropical Escape with a recent order myself - which papers would you choose? You can find details of which DSP is included in this offer here.
I hope you enjoyed my project, I love to read what you think of my projects; please do leave a comment below to let me know. Next up is Anastasia - I can't wait to see which is her favourite DSP! If you get lost along the way a list of participants in this hop can be found below.
Thanks for hopping with us again, come back soon so you don't miss anything!
