Fable Friends - quick & simple

Here are the details for our first project this week using a stamp set called Fable Friends.  This mornings session was a true Coffee & Cards session as there was a bit of a disaster involving a cup of coffee and Felix (my naughty cat)!  After lots of mopping up and fresh supplies order, was restored.

We used my most favourite framelits (Stitched Rectangles) to create a frame for the card front using Balmy Blue card stock - had to be blue really didn't it?

We then used the same framelits to cut another rectangle to stamp on.

We used a simple paper piecing technique and the Gingham Gala DSP to create the checked jacket.

We used the Stampin' Blends to colour the cute bunny and the grassy background.

A tiny flower (cut with a die from Wonderful Romance) was adhered to one side of the bunny and a hand drawn stem and leaves added with a Journaling Pen.

A sentiment and a jewel in the centre of the flower provided the finishing touches.

We used Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere the blue frame and then used Tombow to adhere the stamped panel inside.

I made a bit of a mess with the inside of my card - I somehow managed to get glue everywhere.  I used a spare blue die cut piece to cover it up and added a cheeky peeping bunny to one side.

I have two further C & C sessions this week, if you would like to join me to make this card and another project, you can all find the details here.  Don't forget that if you place a £25 plus order on Thursday you can craft for free!

Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.

Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon - hopefully with no spillage!
