Dandelion Wishes - stepped up

Here are the details for our second project this week using a lovely stamp set called Dandelion Wishes.  Lots of lovely colour variations of this pretty card made this week - its hard to choose a favourite!

Heat embossing is always impressive and I am still (even after 25+ years), amazed everytime I try it!

This project started with a panel of Smoky Slate card that has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.

We then stamped these lovely dandelion flowers using Versamark around two sides of our Smoky Slate panel.  This was heat embossed with white Stampin' Powder.

After setting the powder with a heat tool colour has been added using a Stampin' Blend.

Top Tip
Use the bullet tip of the blend and take care when colouring an embossed image.  I used a gentle dotty/dabbing motion as the raised edge can spoil the nib of the pen.

Remember the lovely tulle spotty ribbon I mentioned at the weekend?  A piece of this gorgeous ribbon has been wrapped around the bottom of our stamped panel which was then adhered onto a whisper white layer.

We then added a bow - although you have to be careful tying tulle bows they are worth it - they always looks so pretty!

Top Tip
Be careful when tying a bow with this lovely tulle otherwise it will distort and tear!

I used one of my favourite Rectangle Stitched shapes for the sentiment adding a few of the dandelion seeds around the edges.  The tiny seed heads have also had a dab of colour added.

The inside of the card (and the envelope) have been stamped with the single flower image.  A tiny dot of colour has been added to the top of each stem to add some subtle colour to the insert.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for some crafty fun.  These pretty cards would  look great in any colour and, if you prefer, instead of adding a Whisper White layer you could add the same colour that you chose for the flowers for a different look.

I am busy prepping for my launch event and BOGOF sale tomorrow evening (Friday).  If you have not told me you are coming - hurry up so I can prepare a make and take pack for you!

Here is s sneaky peak at our project using Good Morning Magnolia.

I will share details of our projects for next week over the weekend.  I'm back again tomorrow hopping along with Stamp 'N Hop.

Have a crafty weekend!

Susan xx
