Sailing Home - quick & simple
Here are the details for our first project this week using the Sailing Home bundle. I do love a good bundle especially as you save 10% compared to individual prices! Also, this month for every £45 you spend you will receive a Bonus Coupon for £4.50 to spend in August - how good is that?
My crafty ladies are loving this bundle as it is so versatile. Perfect for male themed projects which are always in demand!
This project started with a piece of the Designer Series Paper (that sort of reminds me of pyjamas!) adhered to the note card with Tombow.
The compass has been stamped with Night of Navy ink and punched out with the 1 3/8" punch before adhering to a punched circle (1 1/2" punch) of Night of Navy card and then the card with Tombow.
I cut the length of rope using one of the dies in this bundle from Soft Suede card and adhered across the bottom of the DSP with tiny dabs of Tombow. I quite like that the ends of the rope are longer than the DSP panel.
The lighthouse image has been stamped in Night of Navy ink and cut out with the coordinating die. I used an Aqua Painter to add some colour to the lighthouse. I added it to the card with Dimensionals.
The sentiment, using a stamp from Perennial Birthday has been stamped onto a 1.5cm strip of card that has been 'flagged' on one side. I added a scruffy know (loved frayed ends) as a finishing touch.
The inside of the card and the envelope have been stamped too. I used second generation ink (stamped off) for the lighthouse.

During my Monday morning C & C session I decided that I did not like the colour I had added to the lighthouse so I changed it a bit. What was I thinking with the green?
I used an Aqua Painter as with the previous card but this time I used the Night Navy ink from the stamped image itself and just sort of moved it around a bit to add a bit of shade and definition.
I like this version much more! You can choose which one you would like to make or, go off piste!
