Woven Heirlooms - quick & simple
Here are the details for our first project this week using items from the Woven Threads Suite which can be found on page 12 in the Annual Catalogue.
I am still on my mission to use up my stash of Designer Series Paper. The Woven Threads DSP is made up of all the new In Colours; its hard to choose a favourite as they are all so lovely and can be used in many different ways.
Our project starts with a 10.5 x 14.5cm thick WW card. We used a 10 x 14cm piece of DSP which was adhered to the card front using Tombow.
We used the Square Heirloom Frame Die to cut a piece of Seaside Spray card and then used the coordinating 3d Embossing Folder to add detail.
A piece of WW card, cut slightly larger than the aperture in the frame has been stamped with this lovely sentiment in Night of Navy ink.
The longer border stamp to add a little more detail at the top and bottom of the panel.
We wrapped some of the gorgeous Woven Threads Trim around the bottom of the panel too.
We used the Foam Adhesive Strips on the back of the frame and then adhered the panel making sure it was straight. (Don't ask)!
I love this trim but you need to be careful how you cut it as it can fray.
The assembled panel was then adhered to the card front with Tombow.
A trio of my favourite sequins added a bit of sparkle. I love these sequins; there are around 750 in each tiny pot and I am on my third pot already!
Here is the completed card and envelope. The large border image has been stamped along the edge of the envelope and the inside of the card too.
