Botanical Prints - stepped up

Hello, as promised here is another idea for you using the Botanical Prints Product Medley.

Here are the colours I used for my project.

I think this is such a springlike colour combination, bright and cheerful don't you?  The weather here in the UK is glorious at the moment, lots of lovely sunshine to cheers us up.  Here is the card I made.

Craftyduckydoodah!, Botanical Prints Medley, Subtle Embossing Folder, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store, Spring / Summer 2020,

To create the Botanical Prints card
21 cm x 14.5 cm scored at 10.5 cm
10 cm x 13 cm Smoky Slate
9.5 cm x 13 cm ww thick
You will also need small pieces of thick ww and Smoky Slate card for the die cut elements.

To create the die cut elements
I used a lovely border die that can be found the Painted Labels die set.  I cut two pieces from Smoky Slate.

Originally I had planned to use Balmy Blue but I changed my mind at the last minute!

I used Tombow to adhere the two pieces together, luckily I was able to find the spot where the pieces overlapped neatly that was just the right size for my project!

I stamped the little flower sprig in Smoky Slate ink, cut out with the coordinating die and coloured with Stampin' Blends.

I used the Painted Labels dies (again) and stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate in.

To create the stamped panel
I used Smoky Slate ink to stamp a selection of images around the panel of thick ww card.

I then embossed the panel with the Subtle Embossing folder.  I love the effect that this folder creates - two very different sides for you to choose from too!

To assemble the card
Wrap a piece of ribbon** around the top of the ww panel, adhering on the reverse with double sided tape.

Adhere the ww panel to the Smoky Slate panel with Tombow - you will have a Smoky Slate border on each side only.  Adhere the panel to the card base with dimensionals.

The sentiment panel has been adhered with dimensionals and the die cut flower sprig with Tombow and dimensionals.

I tied a tiny bow and adhered to the ribbon border with a mini glue dot.

**Top Tip
I used a piece of ww crinkled seam binding for my project.  I coloured the ribbon with the dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blend, such a pretty colour.

I also stamped the inside of the card and the envelope to coordinate.
