In-Colours 2018 - 2020 stepped up

Here are the details for the second project this week showing ways to use the soon to retire 2018 - 2020 In-Colours.

I saw a project on Pinterest way back in February and I knew the idea would come in useful.  My project this week was inspired by one that Jennifer Pauli from Germany made - you can see her original design HERE.

Here is my project; I made a couple of tweaks to Jennifer's design!

To create the In-Colours stepped up project
21 cm x 21 cm scored at 10.5 cm ww thick
19 cm x 8.5 cm ww thick
15 cm x 1 cm strips of DSP - 3 of them
Lovely Lipstick card for the die cuts and a scrap of ww thick for the centre of the flower.

To create the background panel
I used this lovely floral border image from Beauty Abounds, stamping two along the bottom of the panel of thick ww with Memento ink.

I stamped one of my favourite sentiments using Lovely Lipstick ink in the left hand corner.

I used some of the coordinating Lovely Lipstick ribbon around the top of the panel adhering on the reverse with double sided tape.

I adhered a strip of DSP across the bottom of the panel using Tombow.

To create the die cut elements
I cut one large and one small flower outline using Lovely Lipstick card.  I also cut a flower centre from a scrap of thick ww.

To assemble the card
I placed dimensionals on the reverse of the panel.  Position the smaller die cut on the front of the card without adhering.

Adhere the panel - the dimensionals on the back of the panel will also adhere the small flower!

I then used dimensionals to adhere the large flower and the centre.

The tiny bow has been adhered with a rolled up glue dot.

You can just about see the smaller flower peeping out behind the larger one!

I also added a strip of DSP to the inside of the card, carefully aligning so that it was in the position as the strip on the front of the card!

Here is the completed card and envelope.  I stamped the floral border across the bottom of the envelope and also adhered a strip of DSP with Tombow.

I also made cards using the other soon to retire In-Colours - it's hard to choose a favourite.

I love this card - I really like making 'long' cards.  The only reason I don't make them more often is because SU don't supply envelopes in this size!  I do buy good quality DL envelopes but they are still not a patch on SU quality that I am used to.

I'm back later on this week taking part in not one, but two international blog hops!

Stay safe and well, happy crafting!
