A Little Lace - stepped up - TGIF Challenge #tgifc262

Here are the details for the first project this week using a stamp set called A Little Lace.

The inspiration for this project came from the upcoming Annual Catalogue and from a colour challenge at TGIF!

Craftyduckydoodah!, A Little Lace, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, #tgifc262, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

I used the colours shown above and made a couple of tweaks to the project shared in the upcoming Annual Catalogue.

Here is my project.

Craftyduckydoodah!, A Little Lace, Susan Simpson UK Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, #tgifc262, Supplies available 24/7 from my online store,

To create the A Little Lace card
29 cm x 10.5 cm Coastal Cabana -  scored at 14.5 and 17 cm
1 cm strip Calypso Coral (I used the full length of an A4 sheet)
Small piece of Calypso the Coral for die cut oval
10.5 cm x 12.5 cm ww thick
10 cm x 11.5 cm  ww for the insert
Small piece of ww thick to stamp on
1.2cm strip of ww thick for the sentiment

To create the die cut elements
I used the large Stitched Lace die to cut the thick ww panel.  I ran through the Big Shot twice to make sure all the tiny holes were cut.

Many of the tiny pieces fell out when I removed the card from the die - the rest were popped out with my poky tool.  I also used my die brush over a bin but those pesky little pieces seemed to be everywhere!

I used the largest oval from the Stitched Shape Dies with the piece of Calypso Coral card.

To create the stamped elements.
I used Memento ink to stamp the flowers onto ww thick card.  I coloured the flowers with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut out.

The sentiment has been stamped with Calypso Coral ink.

To assemble the card
I used Snail adhesive on the back of the ww die cut panel and adhered to the card front.

I used dimensionals to adhere all the other elements using double dimensionals on the right hand side of the sentiment.

I used Tombow to adhere the 2.5 cm scored panel on the card front.

Here is a view from above so you can see how the finished card looks.

As a finishing touch I added three different sized jewels to the centre of the flowers.

Top Tip
Only adhere the side panel after you have adhered the insert - much easier this way!!

To decorate the insert
I adhered the 1cm strip of Calypso Coral along the bottom edge of the insert with Tombow.  Carefully trim off any excess.  I used Memento to stamp this pretty flower and coloured with Stampin' Blends.  The panel was adhered with double sided tape.

Here is the completed card and envelope.  The envelope has been decorated in the same way as the insert.
