So Much Happy - quick & simple
I am also on a mission this week to use up some of my accumulated card scraps as you will see.
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and you live in the UK, I would love to be yours!
If you need to order any supplies, simply use my “shop with me” button or click on the catalogue links on the right. Alternatively, contact me and I would be happy to place an order for you.
If you would like a copy of either of the current Annual Catalogue let me know and I will pop one in the post for you. If you prefer, you can view an online version by clicking the link to the right of this post. Also, the August - December mini catalogue will be available very soon - if you would like a copy of either catalogue, let me know!
Would you like to receive a FREE gift from me? All orders placed directly with me or online receive a handmade card from me as a thank you but did you know that all orders over £20 (excluding postage) will receive a gift from me too? If you use the current Hostess Code I will pop something in with your order or post directly to you. (Please remember to allow me to access your contact details otherwise I won't be able to contact you).
If your order is over £150 please don't use the code as you will receive your own Stampin' Rewards. You will still receive a card and a gift from me.
If you are local to me and can collect, I’m happy for you to piggyback one of my orders to save on postage.
Thank you for shopping with me and supporting my business.
Here is my project:
The colours I used:
Some of my favourite colours but you could use up any scraps you have to hand.
You will need:
21 cm x 14.5 cm scored at 10.5 cm ww thick
10 cm x 14 cm ww thick
Coastal Cabana and Night of Navy scraps
14 cm x 4 cm ww thick (to adhere scraps to)
Assorted strips of card scraps
The die cutting:
Use the 10 cm x 14 cm panel of card to die cut 'happy'. I was so excited the first time I cut this die; it is so clever!
The background:
So here are some of the scraps I mentioned. Use the smaller panel of ww thick card. There are several ways you could adhere the strips to create the background but I have a new favourite adhesive - Stampin' Seal! It's just perfect for this project, strong enough to hold even ribbon too so I will be using it a lot. Stampin' Seal dispenses easily with no mess or fuss and helped this project come together very quickly.
I simply swiped across the card to cover with the adhesive and added the strips one by one.
Trim any overhanging pieces from the reverse for a neat finish.
The balloon:
I stamped a balloon on Coastal Cabana card and cut out with the coordinating die. The string and ribbon have been cut from Night of Navy.
I decided to add to Wink of Stella (WoS) to the balloon. Unfortunately it was so hot in my craft room that all the sparkly loveliness flooded out of the pen. This resulted in a very sparkly balloon and not what I had intended at all. In person you can just about see the stamped stars underneath the WoS.
I stamped the sentiment with Night of Navy ink.
To assemble:
Adhere the stripy background to the reverse of the 'happy' panel, I used double sided tape and then adhere to the card base with dimensionals. The balloon has also been adhered with dimensionals.
Completed project:
I stamped a balloon and string on the inside and the front of the envelope.
At last I have found a use for some of my scraps; this makes me happy! This card would look lovely in lots of your favourite colours and, you could also adhere the stripes diagonally for a different look. It is a very quick card to put together too which is a bonus for me as I always seem to be short of time.
I have another bright and colourful project to share later this week using the same bundle. If you earned Bonus Coupons during July you could use them to purchase this bundle perhaps. A 10% bundle discount and a £4.50 coupon makes So Much Happy a real bargain this month!
Have a crafty week.
