Instant Pop Up Cards for Coffee & Cards
Hello, it has been a long, long time since I did a Coffee & Cards post! Classes have been running again for two weeks now so I thought it was time to share what we will be creating next week!
This week we will be creating instant pop up dimension cards! We will be stamping, heat embossing and die cutting. Cards fold flat to fit in an envelope and 'magically' pop up again when removed!
You will be able to choose which of the new In-Colours you would like to create your projects with too. Perhaps you could swap a couple of butterflies with someone so you can have different colours?
We will be using the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies for our projects.
We will also be using a new die called Dots & Spots to create a background. Believe me, those dots get everywhere but the effect is worth it!
You will create six beautiful dimensional butterflies to use on your projects and will be able to take any you don't use home with you. We will all make a version of this project (your choice of colour).
Then you will be able to play and have fun creating your next project using different layouts. There will be samples for you to look at too to give you ideas.
I choose to use Starry Sky for my projects but I also created a set of butterflies using Tahitian Tide. You can see below just how much dimension it is possible to create using this simple technique.
The format for the Coffee & Cards classes has changed slightly. Each week we will focus on a different technique, tool, a fancy fold card or a 3d item. I have lots and lots of ideas to share but if you have a special request just let me know.
Sessions are usually run on a Tuesday afternoon, 2 - 4pm at my home in Godmanchester. The cost for each session is £10 and will include light refreshments. You will need to bring your preferred adhesives with you as well as a basic tool kit if you have one. I will have a limited supply of adhesives for sale in case you run out or forget!I can't wait to see all the lovely cards that will be made, I wonder which colour will be the most popular! Places are limited to 4 people each session to allow lots of individual attention and tuition.
