Holly Jolly Greetings
Hello, I am sharing with you today a card made with the oh so useful stamp set Holly Jolly Greetings; lots of fabulous christmassy words to choose from with some useful background stamps too. Even better, this set comes as a bundle with the Christmas Greeting Thinlets = 15% saving!
I set out with the intention of making a card that would be suitable for the men in my life so, not too much in the way of sparkle and glitz required!
I took the card with me to show the Coffee & Cards ladies on Tuesday afternoon; they loved it, and so do I!
This card is so easy to create and can be done in any colour of ink that you have.
The ladies liked it so much that I will be offering a class to make this card and other items using this set at the beginning of October, please message me to reserve your seat at what is set to be a very popular class.
This is the original card I made using the new Basic Grey Archival stampin' pad:
As you may know, vellum is quite tricky when it comes to adhering to projects - I thought the addition of two mini staples was a suitable masculine touch, I also placed some sneaky adhesive underneath my punched out circle where it is completely hidden!
I used the new Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the sequins and add a little glitter to parts of the background stamping - this stuff is amazing, so easy and clean to use.
I liked the card so much I decided to make some more in different colours.
Look what happened to the Real Red ink when I put the glue on it:
It must be something to do with the pigment in the ink but I have to say I love the effect it gives with Dazzling Diamonds on top - what you might call a happy accident!
Here are the three cards I made (Real Red & Marina Mist) - I know I will be making more of these using different colours of ink:
Please do leave a comment below and let me know which is your favourite colour or perhaps you could suggest other colours I could use?
Don't forget to check out this week's updated Weekly Deals, thanks for looking at the my Blog.
