Vintage Leaves - Coffee & Cards (by special request)!
Hello, we had so much fun at last Tuesday's Coffee & Cards with the Vintage Leaves stamp set that one of the ladies asked if we could use it again this week!
If you would like to join me at Stugles of St Ives Coffee Shop tomorrow afternoon 2:30 - 4:30pm, please message me to reserve your seat or contact me for further details. I hope you will be able to choose which version of this card you would like to make - if not, why not make both for £4.50?
This week I wanted to show you how versatile stamping can be; you can achieve very different looks with what is basically the same design. In this case, the only difference is the choice of cardstock used.
The first one has been made with Very Vanilla on a base of Crumb Cake and involved a little smooshing with an Aqua Painter to blend the ink a little. As you may know, I am not very patient so, instead of waiting for the ink to dry I ran the cardstock through my Bighsot using the matching Framelits (so much easier than cutting out individual leaves). The result is what I like call a happy accident - the leaves crumpled slightly and curled at the edges all by themselves!
The second version was made with a base of Whisper White - doesn't it look different? Although I was aiming for something that looked 'cleaner' I felt it still needed some Gorgeous Grunge - can't resist this stamp set!
Both cards were finished off with a lovely little sentiment that comes with the Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set and I used the reverse side of the Natural Chevron Ribbon across the bottom of the card.
Once again, I am torn by indecision - I like both versions for different reasons! Let me know which version you prefer in the comments section below.
