Stampin' Up! - Rose Wonder!
Hello, I have a confession for you today! I do not own this particular stamp set or the matching dies but, I have a feeling that I soon will! One of my Coffee & Cards ladies does however, and she has challenged me to come up with some designs to give her some inspiration.
I coincidentally came across a wonderful tutorial by Sarah Lancaster yesterday (you can see it here). I loved the colours - definitely not a combination I would have put together so I decided to have a go at a version of the design myself.
This is my version of Sarah's design:
I have to say that I absolutely LOVE how it turned out, the colours have worked really well together and sort of remind me of the Northern Lights - do you think so too?
The depth achieved by layering two Whisper White die cuts and then one of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper on top is so effective - why did I never think of that? I also splatted some clear Wink of Stella over the top which I hope you can just about see in the photo.
I enjoyed myself so much that I carried on crafting, creating another two designs that sort of popped into my head! I will post details tomorrow for you to see, hopefully by then my hands will be a bit cleaner (but probably not)!
Many thanks to Sarah who kindly agreed that I could share her tutorial with you. If you do have a go at this technique, I would love to see what you come up with.
Thank you so much for looking at my Blog today, if you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would love to be yours! If you don't have a catalogue and you would like one, please let me know and I will send one to you.
Details of the products I used to create this project can be found below. If you need to order any supplies, simply use my “shop with me” button or click on the catalogue links on the right. Alternatively, contact me and I would be happy to place your order for you.
All orders over £20 (excluding postage) will receive a little thank you from me if you use the current Hostess Code: 6DGYXNXX (please remember to allow me to access your contact details otherwise I won't be able to contact you).
For orders over £150 please do not use the Hostess Code to ensure that you receive the benefits.
Susan xx
