Stampin' Up! - On Stage Event, November 2016

Hello, right now I am so shattered but so excited!  I have seen the new Spring/Summer Catalogue and the SAB brochure too but I can't say anymore for the time being - sorry!  Apologies in advance for the photo heavy post.

I returned home last night rather late from the On Stage Local event held in Telford.  There were over 400 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the UK attending.  You may remember I was lucky enough to attend a similar event in April this year too - you can read all about it here!

At these events there is a tradition of swapping - it can be either a card front or a 3d item.  As the event runs from 8:30 am until 7:30pm I thought my fellow demos would appreciate a little something to keep them going as it was going to be a long but exciting day!

On previous occasions I took 50 swaps with me and that worked out about right. The last few weeks have been totally bonkers for me what with classes and workshops.  I have also recently been diagnosed with a severe allergy to nuts (I love them and have always eaten them) that came at me like a speeding train and I ended up in A & E for 7 hours!

The idea for my swaps only came to me on the 31st October - talk about last minute.com!

I bought lots of mint imperials (the ones that crumble in the middle as I love them) and also some Bon Bons in a rather striking blue colour that are, apparently raspberry flavour.  I confess to eating quite a few of the mints and then when I had finished bagging up the Bon Bons there were a couple left ... they had a strange but rather addictive flavour!

All bagged up ...

Exciting times are ahead in the world of Stampin' Up!

I got to work stamping and die cutting - I chose Tempting Turquoise as it seemed to go best with the Bon Bons but also because I realised that it is a colour I hardly ever use!

Here are the finished results; I was quite pleased with how they turned out. Well, apart from the staples that could be seen but as I had left it until the last minute I had no time to figure out another way to attach the topper.

All boxed up and ready to go ...

Of course when I had finished I had to do a big tidy up in my craft room and that included these strange things that were left over - guess where they ended up!

Exciting times are ahead in the world of Stampin' Up!

I got some amazing swaps from other Demonstrators that I will hopefully share with you very soon.  Thank you to everyone for swapping with me!

Exciting times are ahead in the world of Stampin' Up! - if you would like to attend the next event as part of my small but growing team of Ducklings I would love to hear from you - just drop me a message or click here for more details.

Details of the products I used to make my swaps can be found below.  Thanks for looking at my blog - I would love you to leave a comment!

Happy Crafting :)

Susan xx
