Stampin Up! Tin of Tags - project 2

Hello, phew what a week it has been - my crafty ladies are loving the new format to my Coffee & Card sessions.  I am so pleased that they are enjoying the 'stepped up' projects.

After saying in an earlier post that I am not really a 'pink' person I have to say that I am really starting to change my mind - and I actually quite like the projects this week!

This is the second card that was available this week.  In the photo you can see quite clearly (I hope), the watercolour wash technique we used as a background on both projects.

It creates a lovely subtle effect that turns out differently every time!  I really like to stamp in the same colour ink for a tone on tone look too.

The wooden snowflake was also coloured to match - ink was dabbed onto a baby wipe and applied to the embellishment, I added some Dazzling Details for a bit of Christmas sparkle.

I added a strip of Fancy Frost Speciality DSP and inked around the edges using a sponge dauber.

Here is a photo of both cards together ...

On subsequent cards I did not add a sequin to the centre of the snowflake and I think I prefer the card without it!

I did, as promised make one card using blue tones; Pool Party and Marina Mist.
