Stampin' Up! Foxy Friends for Christmas!

Hello, I have a special card to share with you today.  I have as usual, left things to the last week before Christmas but, as I am seeing my friend Maggie on Thursday, I thought I had better get a wriggle on and make her card!

Maggie has a ginger cat called Hamish - she often jokes that he is more like a fox than a cat and so, this idea for a Christmas foxy Hamish card popped into my mind!  (I'm not sure what this says about my mind lol)!

I do have a stamp set called Cozy Critters that has a fox in - I have used it for Coffee & Cards recently.  After I enjoyed using the fox in that set, I 'gave in' and bought Foxy Friends - this is the first time I have used it.

I have seen lots of fantastic ideas on Pinterest - Foxy Friends will definitely be back in 2017!

The colour scheme I chose for this card is not one that you would usually use for Christmas but I went with the best colour for the fox and worked from there.

I added some antlers to my fox using Chocolate Chip ink and also the eyes and the legs.

I got out the Silver Glimmer Paper to add some sparkle with a die cut word and then added some jewels too.  I decided that the card looked a bit bare so added some splodges from Gorgeous Grunge.  I'm not sure which Washi Tape I used - I think it might be retired now ...

Here is the finished card and envelope - I stamped a border along the edge of the envelope and on the inside of the card as a finishing touch.
