Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Dreams - quick & simple

Hello, here are the details for our first project this week.  We have used Dragonfly Dreams for Coffee & Cards sessions before but we didn't use the bee stamp.  One of the Monday crafty ladies (Pat) mentioned that she has a friend called 'B' (short for Beatrice) and that she had a bit of a thing for bees so ... this one is for you Pat!

I can't believe how many times I reach for the Stitched Shape Framelits - they are definitely my 'go to' dies.  I decided to use the Hexagon TIEF to add some texture to the yellow square for a sort of honeycomb effect.

After my earlier dilemma (via facebook) with the bee, I finally decided to fussy cut the bee instead of using the coordinating die and to not colour the wings.

I highlighted the wings with Wink of Stella (WoS). If you have not tried WoS before you are in for a treat; it is certainly the best way to add sparkle to your projects without mess.  The glitter brush is perfect for writing and adding subtle controlled glitter to all your projects.  I have even managed to capture the sparkly loveliness on the photo below!

Of course the inside and the envelope were decorated to match, here is the completed card.

I will post details of the second Coffee & Cards project later this week so be sure to pop back soon.

You can find the products I used for this project at the end of this post with details of how you can receive a free gift from me.

Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon!
