Stampin' Up! Eastern Beauty - quick & simple

Hello, here are the details for the first project this week.  A couple of my crafty ladies have not been impressed with making Christmas cards in July but as one lady said to me recently, 'creativity knows no calendar'!

The ladies who joined me this morning certainly enjoyed themselves.  We all ended making making slightly different cards due mainly to happy mistakes!  I decided to use green backgrounds for both my cards and I have to say, I think I'm liking them more than my original samples!

Here is the original card I made in red ...

Have you seen these gorgeous Eastern Gold stickers (page 19) in the Annual Catalogue?

They are stunning - not your usual run of the mill vinyl stickers!  We used the Eastern Medallions Thinlets Dies to cut out our flowers - they are a perfect fit. I used a die from the Paisley  Framelits to create the additional leaves, they seemed to mirror the shape of the flowers very well.

This is the green card I made this morning, shown side by side with the red (for comparison).  I changed the position of the flower slightly and moved the sentiment to reflect this as well as using a green background.  I realised that I have only used Garden Green a couple of times over the last few years - why? I love this colour, it is such a great green!!

Of course, I can't decide which colour I prefer but I am definitely leaning towards the green.  I would love you to leave a comment below to let me know which you prefer.
