Stampin' Up! Christmas Quilt - stepped up
Hello, we had so much fun this week using the Christmas Quilt bundle (again). Everyone really enjoyed piecing the shapes into their patchwork squares - some great variations were produced too. I get so much inspiration from my crafty ladies - I am so lucky to have such lovely ladies who choose to craft with me each week.
The Framelits in this set are so clever - look what you can produce with just one turn of the Big Shot.
I pre cut lots of little pieces to piece into the squares so that everyone could choose their favourite colour combination.
As it is still only September (just) I thought we would just make one Christmas card this week. The sentiment in this set is one of those really useful ones that are suitable for many occasions and I know lots of people who either sew or make quilts who would love to receive this card.
I confess I struggled (as did several of my crafty ladies) to thread this needle but it was worth persevering with!
Here is the completed card and envelope.
I visited a garden centre neat Peterborough at the weekend and was astonished to see they had their Christmas displays out already ... then I realised that there are just 87 days until Christmas eeek!!
So next week we will be making two Christmas cards - I will post details shortly.
Thanks again to everyone who joined me this week, see you soon for some more crafty fun!

this is cool! Not only looks like a quilt, it reminds me of stained glass
ReplyDeleteThanks - not thought about stained glass but you are right it does. Obvious now you said it!
