Stampin' Up! Hang Your Stocking - stepped up

Hello, after another hectic week of crafting (and life) here are the details of the second project using the Hang Your Stocking stamp set.

When I came to edit my photos for this post I discovered the application I usually use no longer allows you to use it for free :(  Please bear with me whilst I experiment with different packages to edit my photos.

For this project we used the larger stocking in this set and added additional stamped and die cut elements to the top, heel and toe.

We used some of the lovely sparkly mini tinsel trim that an be found on page 21 of the Autumn / Winter Catalogue.  Its great for tying bows and would look lovely around a parcel and, the best thing is it doesn't shed!!

All my crafty ladies have enjoyed using the Cable Knit TIEF this week too - so useful for adding texture to a background and not just for Christmas!

Here is the completed card and envelope.  I think my favourite part of this project has to be the stunning pine boughs on the inside and envelope.

Our first project this week also used Hang Your Stocking.  I confess I was not completely happy with my sample project after looking at it again so I took the opportunity to tweak it a little during Coffee & Cards sessions.

This is the original ...

This was the version I made on Tuesday.  I moved the greenery to the right - better but still not quite right!

This is the version I made today - I think I prefer this one!

I would love for you to leave a comment below to let me know which you prefer or if you have any ideas/suggestions on how to improve the design.

Next week for Coffee & Cards I will be joined by the lovely Karen.  Karen was a former 'duckling' who moved out of the area - she is visiting Huntingdon next week and will be joining us once again on Monday for a crafty fix.  Karen has requested that we use the Quilted Christmas Suite; I will post details of the projects for next week shortly.

You can find details of the products I used for this project below.

Hope you have a crafty weekend.

Susan xx
