Stampin' Up! A Little Wild for Emily Louise!
Hello, several months ago one of my friends announced that she was going to be a Grandmother - I was so excited to hear her news!
Baby Emily entered the world on the 27th September I knew straight away which set I would be using to make a card to welcome her to the World.
I confess I am not a fan of pink but Stampin' Up! have many pinks to choose from - I chose Powder Pink and decided to recreate this project from a July Coffee & Cards session.
I stamped the elephant in Smoky Slate for a softer look and coloured with Pro Markers. I realised that the elephant needed 'something' - after trying several ideas I had a light bulb moment and was so pleased when I found the last Powder Pink Bitty Bow in my crafty stash!
I used the Stitched Shape Framelits (again) and created a background using the leaf die from the Framelits.
I stamped one of the sentiments and the reverse of the elephant on the inside of the card.
I added some sequin trim for a tiny bit of sparkle behind the elephant. I was going to add a sentiment to the front but changed my mind at the last minute.
I made a matching tag too - so cute! Here is the completed card and the gift tag (I can't show the present because I am taking it with me when I visit at the weekend).
I am going to visit on Sunday so, hopefully I will get a cuddle with Emily - I can't wait! Here she is ready to go home from the hospital. Her name is a combination of her parents names, Emma and Lee which I think is a lovely idea.
The A Little Wild stamp set and the Little Loves Framelits dies are really versatile and I love that they give you the ability to create matching tags too! They are available as a bundle which = a 10% saving.

Once I added the bow to the elephant I thought it looked like Mrs Jumbo from the Disney film Dumbo ... what do you think? I would love you to leave a comment below - hopefully it is not just me lol!
