Stampin' Up! Good Tidings - stepped up

Hello, here are the details for our second project this week using Good Tidings to create an eclipse card.

My crafty ladies were very impressed with this technique and created lots of stunning cards.

Eclipse cards are not at all difficult but they certainly look impressive.

We started off stamping the sprig of holly across our front panel and then used the Large Letters Framelits to cut out the word 'Joy'.  You need to be careful when doing the cutting as the letters can slip.  We used the Magnetic Platform and some washi tape as a bit of extra insurance!

A panel of Real Red is behind the die cut letters and we used Mini Dimensionals to raise the letters to add depth and dimension.  The middle of the letter 'o' was then adhered using Tombow, make sure to line it up perfectly ...

Here you can see the depth behind the letters.

I took glitter, jewels and Wink of Stella with me so that those who wanted to could add some Christmas Bling!

I used the Fine Tip Glue on this card with some Dazzling Diamonds sprinkled on top.  When you add the glue it reacts with the ink and creates an interesting colour change - if you leave it to dry without adding glitter it will dry looking shiny and raised!

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week.  Next week will be the last time (for this year) that we will be making Christmas cards so if you need a few more cards be sure to come along.  Don't forget there is always the option to make additional cards for just £2.50 each.

I will be getting in the mood for Christmas tomorrow evening with the Christmas Lights Switch on in Godmanchester whilst manning the Women's Institute cake sale.  Hopefully I will find time to start my Christmas shopping soon!

Hope you have a crafty weekend.

Susan xx
