Stampin' Up! Merry Little Labels - stepped up

Hello, my crafty ladies and I have had such fun this week making gift tags with the Merry Little Labels stamp set.

We used traditional Christmas colours of red and green.  I don't know about you but tags are one thing I either forget to buy at all or I run out during my usual last minute wrapping frenzy!

This year will be different (I think I might have said that last year too)!!

The background layers for both tags used two dies from the Celebration Thinlits Dies.  It is so useful to be able to make your own tags.  Usually priced at £27, they are currently on offer for just £21.60 as part of the Stampin' Up! Online Extravaganza until the 26th November.

I think this stamp from Merry Little Labels is my favourite - I added some jewels for a bit of extra sparkle.

The second tag has a sentiment that will be very useful for my son Christopher - he has been a persistent 'peeker' since he was three years old!

There is a tiny dot underneath the little shape at the top and bottom of this stamp that is just the right size for a jewel.

Stampin' Up! think of everything as there is also a stamp in this set for the reverse of the tags.

Did you know that you can colour the jewels with the new Stampin' Blends pens?  Well you can, they work brilliantly - no smudging at all.  I used Cherry Cobbler to create some berries.

The white layer was not attached to the front - it was joined to the front by threading some ribbon through the little hole.

During the week my crafty ladies did not disappoint - they came up with some lovely variations on our card project for this week.  The original design is in the middle, thanks again to Zoe for her inspirational swap in Birmingham.

After three Coffee & Cards sessions last week I now have a good supply of tags - now all I need to do is buy the presents!

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week, next week will be using a stamp set called Glad Tidings to make two cards - one of which is an 'eclipse' card!

Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee soon.

Susan xx
