Stampin' Up! Star of Light - stepped up

Hello, here are the details of the second project this week using the Star of Light stamp set.

I used this particular stamp and Thinlits set several times last year - it is so versatile with lots of different permutations for layering up the dies.  You can find lots of idea on Pinterest here.

The die that we have used as the focal point on this project is one of my particular favourites as it does not 'remove' the cut from the card base - hope that makes sense?  This is a die that can be used all year around perhaps placed over coloured card stock for a different effect.  I must try to remember to have a play with this to create my own DSP ...

If anyone can tell me definitively which way up the embossed card from the Soft Falling TIEF is supposed to go I would appreciate it - a lot!  The issue has been a hotly debated topic with my crafty ladies all week!!

Here is the Tranquil Tide version of the project and, I think my preferred option.  We used the same star images to decorate the inside and the envelope.

Did you guess which version of this project was the most popular?

Most of my crafty ladies choose to make the Tranquil Tide version!

Here are some of the cards made this week.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee.  Next week we be doing something a bit different.  The ladies who attended the Christmas Project day last week loved the little crackers I made as table gifts so much that they have asked if we can make them next week.  So, we will be making a cracker and a card for a change.

I will be travelling up to Birmingham tomorrow to attend On Stage Local 2017.  There will be hundreds of other Stampin' Up Demonstrators from all over the country.  We will be crafting, swapping (more of that later), having a sneaky peak at the Spring / Summer Catalogue and lots more!

Here is a sneaky peak at my swaps ...

Obviously I can't count as I had these left over - now what am I going to do with them? Someone will have to eat them lol!!

I will share details of the event and my swaps that I made and received next week.  Hope you have a crafty weekend.

Susan xx
