The brief for our first hop is to make a Christmas card, something we all need lots of at this time of year!

I decided to use a bundle called Hearts Come Home for my projects, its one of my favourites in the Autumn / Winter catalogue.  I love white space on cards and one of my favourite colours is Pool Party so, I thought I would indulge myself and make some cards for me for a change!

My card is relatively quick and simple - you could quite easily create a batch of these in a variety of colours in no time at all.

I die cut a row of houses from some thick whisper white cardstock and placed some silver foil scraps behind each house and then carefully trimmed away the excess.

I wrapped some Pool Party ribbon around the panel and then adhered it to my card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I made a coil of silver metallic thread and stuck to the ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot, twisting in the middle to form a figure of eight.  I placed a tiny heart cut from Pool Party on top to hide the glue dot.

Here is another completed card and envelope, this time with another die in the set featuring a church.  The envelope has been stamped using a background image from Pretty Pines.

A simple sentiment and another tiny heart finish off the card.

Thanks for looking at my blog today - I would you to leave me a comment below if you enjoyed this project.

I really enjoyed this project, it a good way to use up those scraps of silver foil we all hoard!  I will be making a pile of them in lots of my favourite colours for myself this Christmas - who says Christmas cards have to be red and green?

I made another project with this set that I will share with you later this week. Its rather special, here is a sneaky peak - come back soon so you don't miss anything!
