Stampin' Up! Christmas Pines - quick & simple
Hello, here are the details of our first Christmas project for 2018 using a stamp set called Christmas Pines.
I confess I was not entirely happy with the design of this project so, this morning at Coffee & Cards I tried something out ... and I am pleased to say I was impressed with the result!
I used a brand new Textured Impressions Embossing (TIEF) folder called 'Tufted'. Not the most exciting name really is it?
However, the results are amazing - I think this might be a new favourite product of mine!
We used a simple sentiment from Star of Light on a Stitched Shape Oval Framelit.
The branches were stamped onto the card front using two different green inks and then the red panel was ahdered on top.
I than added some die cut boughs in Old Olive before adding a sentiment panel.
The tiny red bow has somehow ended up in the Pretty Pines Thinlits - I know it doesn't belong there but does anyone know which set it is from please? It will drive me bonkers till I find out!!
So here is my original card and envelope - nothing really wrong with them but I knew I could do better!
For my second version, I stamped the panel as before and ahdered the red stip then I used the Tufted TIEF before adding the boughs and the sentiment.
Look at the details you can achieve with this fabulous TIEF ...
The more observant amongst you might notice that I have changed the orientation of the second card - a necessity I'm afraid; I had a splode of ink I needed to hide!
Here is the completed card.
Unusually for me, I prefer this card which proves that I can (sometimes) make a quick decision!
I have two more C & C sessions this week, if you would like to join me, you can find the details here.
Details of the products I used for this project can be found below.
Hope you can join me for a crafty coffee (or a long, cool drink) soon.
