Stampin' Up! Review of 2018 - part III
Hello, I'm back again with Part III of my review of 2018. I always enjoy looking back at what I have been up to over the last twelve months - it is so easy to forget what I have been up to as I move on to my next projects each week.
July
One of my favourite bundles from the Annual Catalogue is called tropical Chic - I have used it a lot! The project below was one I created for the Stamp 'N Hop blog group. Several of my crafty ladies liked it so much that I built a workshop around it just for them! You can find my original post HERE.
July also saw me hopping with Global Stamping Friends sharing a project made using Animal Outing. The project was a gift for one on my team who had recently had the most gorgeous little boy.
One very hot Saturday I held a team event in St Ives. These events are usually free for ducklings to attend and are my way of saying thank you to them for choosing me as their Upline. We made a splendid project that was inspired by Pootles. Sarah (one of the newer members), confessed that she had an absolute dread of boxes and would do anything to avoid making them. However, after a quick lesson, I am pleased to report she is now a complete box addict!
This was our completed project - a sturdy desk tidy/organiser!
August
This month saw us revisiting a favourite stamp set called Painted Harvest for Coffee & Cards. We stayed away from the traditional yellow for the sunflowers and used Grapefruit Grove which was one of the newly introduced colours. I'm not sure what Van Gogh would have had to say about my choice of colour but it was very popular with my crafty ladies!
I ran a repeat of a project from last year and welcomed a whole load of new crafters for the day to make a unicorn picture.
September
This month saw a return visit to Coffee & Cards for a stamp set called Sheltering Tree and two new techniques for my crafty ladies to try out. All agreed that both projects would be suitable for those difficult men in our lives. I really enjoyed the mix of colours we used for these projects - I do love a good scrunch through crisp, colourful leaves at this time of year don't you?
I also ran my first ever 'Re Do Challenge' on facebook and was delighted to receive six entries. I must organise another challenge soon ...
Septemer also saw me embark on a new challenge - an After School Club which runs every Wednesday during term time. For our first ever project we used these little cuties and a stamp set called A Little Wild which turned out to be rather apt!!
I hope you have enjoyed looking back over the last few months of my review of 2018, come back soon for the final instalment and news of a giveaway as the pile of goodies from my craft room tidy up grows!
Happy crafting!
