Perennial Birthday - stepped up

Here are the details for our final project this week using a stamp set called Perennial Birthday and the Stamparatus.

Using the Stamparatus makes light work of creating this fun background.  After you have aligned the sentiment and stamped once all you have to do is re ink and move the plate down one step - simple but very effective!

We used a sponge dauber and Pear Pizzaz ink to add to some colour to the centre of the card and then stamped some extra images to add to the background.

We then stamped and fussy cut some flowers and coloured with the Stampin' Blends.

The larger flowers with the leaves have Mini Dimensionals under the leaves with the flower being adhered with Tombow.  Adhering the flowers this way adds extra dimension to the card.

You could recreate this background with almost any sentiment; it would also work well for male cards with a different image in the centre.

The envelope has been stamped to coordinate too.

Top Tip
If you want to colour an image on an envelope, place some scrap card behind the image before you colour.  This will stop any 'bleed' onto the other side of the envelope.

Over the week my crafty ladies have made lots of variations of this project; some choosing difficult colours for the flowers and others using Pear Pizzaz ink to stamp on the background.

Each one looks different but equally stunning.

The yellow version also shows another variation.

The dots in the background have been stamped in Pear Pizazz ink.  I love how you can create backgrounds with lots of depth and interest using just ink and a bit of imagination.

Thanks to everyone who joined me this week for a crafty coffee.  Details of the projects for next week will be available shortly.

I am back tomorrow with a special project for another Tic Tac Toe Challenge.

Have a crafty weekend.
