Stampers By The Dozen 03/19
Hello and welcome to the March Stampers By The Dozen blog hop! If you are joining from Judi or starting here with me, welcome, enjoy hoping along with us - I hope you find lots of inspiration!
This month our theme is a challenge.
Step It Up - take a simple/basic card design and step it up to the next level using embellishments, extra layers, embossing etc
I realised as I was writing this post that I had probably gone about this challenge in completely the wrong way! I probably should have used a project I already had but being me, I created two projects - hey ho!
Here is my first project - a cute 4 x 4" card.
I stamped this beautiful floral image from Wonderful Romance and coloured using the Stampin' Blends. I did add a background of Balmy Blue, a ribbon and some jewels but did not use a single Dimensional! #simplestamping
So, on to my stepped up project; I added an embossing folder, framelits, an additional embellishment and lots of dimensionals!
I embossed a panel of Balmy Blue with the Subtle TIEF and added to my card blank.
I then used a lovely, detailed border framelit to create another panel from Whisper White card stock and adhered to the card with Dimensionals.
I used the same floral image as for my first project but this time I used the coordinating framelit before colouring with the Stampin' Blends.

The stems on these flowers are very delicate and can be a bit tricky to colour. I used a Stampin' Write Marker in Mossy Meadow to colour the stems on the image above. Much neater and less chance of making a mess!
I used another framelit to create a panel for the sentiment and added a Floral Romance Seal with some ribbon behind for an extra pop of colour.
Here is my stepped up project - lots of lovely dimension!
I also created a decorative insert for my card. I embossed a panel of Balmy Blue with the Subtle TIEF and added a Whisper White layer that had a part of the floral image stamped in the bottom corner. I coloured the image with the Stampin' Blends and then, I must have been feeling rather extravagant as I added two jewels to the flowers!
Here are both my projects.
I really enjoyed our challenge this month. I always read any comments left on my blog and would love to know what you think of my projects.
Next up is Tricia who I am sure has something wonderful to share with you.
Details of the products I used to create these projects can be found below. The Wonderful Romance stamps and framelits are available as a bundle = a 10% saving. Even better, if you order before the end of March you will also be able to choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration item too! I really hope Wonderful Romance will be in the new Annual Catalogue ...
Thanks for hopping along with us again.
