Forever Lovely - Joy of Sets Tic TacToe Challenge #JOSTTT004

Hello and welcome to another Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  This month our grid has been designed by Nicky Leighton.

I chose to use the bottom line - Die Cut, White and Pearls for my project.

I had a phone call recently from a friend who shall remain nameless asking if I could help her out with something rather special.

Her son had decided that he wanted to make an anniversary card for his wife to celebrate their first anniversary!

Of course I jumped at the challenge.

After a quick chat with Mr X (to preserve his manly image - apparently!), to discuss colours and styles we decided to use a stamp and framelits bundle called Forever Lovely.

Mr X very cleverly, chose his wife's favourite colours for his project (strangely, they are my favourites too)!

Luckily, I'd had a chance to come up with a couple of ideas beforehand so after a quick lesson on how to use the Stamparatus and the Big Shot, Mr X was off - isn't it funny how men seem to like the technical aspects of crafting?

The clever edgelit die in this set cuts and embosses at the same time.

The die cut panel has been adhered with Dimensionals.  Some scrap of Coastal Cabana were used to create the little flowers that were shaped with the end of the Paper Piercing Tool.  A scattering or pretty pearls provided a pretty finishing touch.

Mr X chose this sentiment and it was also his idea to add a flower and a leaf to the panel!  This lovely die is from a set called Wonderful Floral Framelits.

As I usually decorate the inside and the envelopes of my cards, I suggested to Mr X that he do too.

The additional sentiment with the hearts on each side were Mr X's idea!

Here is the completed card and envelope - made by Mr X who was a complete novice at crafting!

I am pleased to report that Mrs X was very impressed with her card - I think Mr X had better start planning what he is going to do next year to top this one don't you?

Thanks to Fiona for organising us with this great challenge and to Nicky for this months grid design!  We will be back next month with another Tic Tac Toe Challenge for you.

I hope you have enjoyed my project; I always enjoy reading what you think of my projects and I would love you to leave a comment below.
